Sullo scranno 14, all'estrema sinistra della quarta fila dell'emiciclo della Camera da mercoledì 27 maggio c'è una targa in memoria della lotta per la democrazia diGiacomo Matteotti e del suo sacrificio. Lo scranno a lui intitolato fu quello da cui il 30 maggio del 1924 il parlamentare socialista pronunciò il discorso che portò al suo rapimento e al suo assassinio per mano fascista. A presidere la commemorazione è stato il presidente Lorenzo Fontana che hasottolineato il sacrificio di «un uomo valoroso» che «accusò il governo mussoliniano di basarsi sull'uso sistematico della violenza». Fontana ha proposto quindi all'Aula un minuto di silenzio dopo il quale i deputati hanno omaggiato la memoria di Matteotti con un applauso.
