Über den mutmaßlichen islamistischen Attentäter Abdul Ballout, der beim Berliner CSD eine Frau getötet und 31 Menschen verletzt hat, weiß man inzwischen viel. Wenig gesprochen wird über die Opfer, ihr Leid und die oft jahrelange Folgen. Die Bundesregierung hat einen Beauftragten für die Opfer von Terroranschlägen und extremistischen Gewalttaten. Der Jurist Roland Weber kümmert sich nicht nur um die Opfer des aktuellen Anschlages, sondern um viele Menschen, die in den letzten Jahren Opfer von terroristischen Gewaltverbrechen in Deutschland wurden. Der Bundesopferbeauftragte sieht sich als Lotse für Hilfsangebote, Therapie, finanzielle Entschädigungen und Rentenansprüche.
