Akibat serangan ini, belasan orang tewas termasuk polisi dan pendeta.
Dikutip dari RT, gereja dan sinagog yang menjadi target serangan berlokasi di Kota Derbent dan Makhachkala.
Sinagog adalah sebutan untuk tempat ibadah bagi orang-orang Yahudi.
Para pelaku tak hanya menyerang manusia, namun juga membakar Sinagog.
Garda Nasional Rusia melaporkan, seorang pendeta tewas dalam aksi penyerangan tersebut.
Sementara 15 anggota polisi juga terbunuh dalam baku tembak dengan penyerang.
Para pelaku ternyata juga menargetkan sebuah kantor polisi di wilayah tersebut.
Pihak berwenang mengatakan, lima orang bersenjata yang menyerang gereja Ortodoks dan sinagog pada akhirnya berhasil dilumpuhkan.
Atas peristiwa ini, Rusia menetapkan tiga hari berkabung untuk wilayah Dagestan.
