L’intelligenza artificiale entra in maniera sempre più preponderante nei processi aziendali e istituzionali, ma insieme alle opportunità crescono anche i dubbi su sicurezza, controllo dei dati e impatto ambientale. È uno dei temi emersi durante la AI Week 2026, la due giorni in programma il 19 e 20 maggio negli spazi di Fiera Milano Rho. Nel corso dell’evento si è parlato di intelligenza artificiale «sovrana», espressione utilizzata per indicare i sistemi di IA gestiti direttamente da aziende o istituzioni, senza dipendere dai grandi modelli sviluppati fuori dall’Europa. Un’intelligenza «sovrana» sarebbe anche più trasparente: «C'è un tema di responsabilità nei confronti dei cittadini e dei clienti, nel dover sempre dare una spiegazione del perché alcune decisioni vengono prese dalle macchine» spiega Aldo Bisio, Ceo di Engineering Group. Tale responsabilità investe anche l'ambito della sostenibilità, specialmente per quanto riguarda la costruzione dei data center, le infrastrutture fisiche che alimentano l'IA. Proprio per questo secondo Bisio sarà necessario «un utilizzo con discernimento dei diversi modelli, con l'obiettivo di ridurre il carbon footprint da parte delle aziende e delle Istituzioni, per conformarsi all'Eu AI Act».
