Polemik Empat Pulau Aceh Diberikan Ke Sumut Kian Memanas
Pemerintah pusat resmi menetapkan empat pulau—Pulau Lipan, Pulau Panjang, Pulau Mangkir Ketek, dan Pulau Mangkir Gadang—yang sebelumnya diklaim sebagai bagian dari Provinsi Aceh, kini masuk ke wilayah Sumatera Utara. Keputusan ini didasarkan pada penarikan garis imajiner batas wilayah antara Aceh dan Sumatera Utara, di mana secara geografis keempat pulau tersebut lebih dekat dan berada di hadapan pantai Tapanuli Tengah, Sumut.Menurut Menteri Dalam Negeri Tito Karnavian, persoalan batas antara Aceh Singkil dan Tapanuli Tengah sudah dibahas lebih dari satu dekade dengan melibatkan banyak pihak, termasuk pemerintah daerah dan TNI. Meskipun batas wilayah darat sudah disepakati, batas laut masih menuai perdebatan dan akhirnya diputuskan oleh pemerintah pusat. Keputusan ini telah diresmikan dalam Keputusan Menteri Dalam Negeri (Kepmendagri) tahun ini. Namun, sebagian pihak di Aceh tetap menolak dan berencana menggugat keputusan tersebut ke PTUN.
