Somasi dilayangkan karen Gibran dinilai telah membuat noda hitam sejarah demokrasi.
Selain dicap membuat noda hitam dalam sejarah demokrasi, Gibran juga dinilai telah membuat noda hitam dalam ketatanegaraan Indonesia.
Para advokat menyebut, keberadaan Gibran dalam jabatan sebagai wapres RI periode 2024-2029 telah mendelegitimasi Pemerintahan hasil Pemilu 2024.
Mereka lantas melayangkan somasi yang diklaim pertama dan terakhir.
Gibran diminta mengundurkan diri sebagai jabatan wakil presiden.
Hal ini dilakukan dalam tempo tujuh hari setelah menerima somasi.
Apabila lewat dari tujuh hari setelah somasi diterima dan Gibran tak mengundurkan diri, para advokat akan bertindak.
Para advokat tersebut akan membawa permasalahan ini sebagai aspirasi masyarakat kepada MPR RI.
"Apabila setelah lewat dari 7 (tujuh) hari setelah SOMASI ini diterima, Gibran tidak mengundurkan diri dari Jabatan WAKIL PRESIDEN RI, maka kami akan membawa permasalahan ini sebagai ASPIRASI MASYARAKAT kepada MPR RI untuk menyelenggarakan sebuah SIDANG MPR RI guna MENDISKUALIFIKASI (BUKAN MEKANISME PEMAKZULAN) JABATAN WAKIL PRESIDEN atas nama Gibran Rakabuming Raka," bunyi somasi tersebut dalam rilis yang diterima Tribunnews.com, Rabu (2/7/2025)
Mereka lantas menyinggung keputusan MK terdahulu yang dinilai cacat hukum.
Oleh karena itu, Gibran seharusnya tak dilantik sebagai Wakil Presiden sesuai ketentuan pasal 427 ayat (2) UU No. 7 Tahun 2017, Tentang Pemilihan Umum.
Sebelumnya, jabatan Gibran sebagai wapres juga didesak dicopot oleh Forum Purnawirawan TNI.
Gibran dinilai tak cakap menjalankan tugas sebagai wapres.
