JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV Mantan Presiden AS Donald Trump mengalami penembakan saat berkampanye di Pennsylvania. Terkait hal tersebut, Presiden Joko Widodo mengaku terkejut dan sedih atas kejadian tersebut."Saya terkejut dan sedih atas kejadian penembakan terhadap mantan Presiden Donald Trump hari ini," tulis Jokowi dalam akun X pada Minggu (14/7/2024).
Jokowi menegaskan bahwa insiden ini tidak dapat dibenarkan.
"Segala bentuk kekerasan tidak dapat dibenarkan di dalam kehidupan berdemokrasi di seluruh dunia," tulisnya.
Dirinya berharap atas kesembuhan Donald Trump serta pihak yang menjadi korban dalam insiden ini.
"Doa saya bagi kesembuhannya dan semua orang yang menjadi korban pada insiden ini," ujar Jokowi.
