TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Peristiwa tewasnya beberapa warga dan seorang polisi di acara pesta rakyat dan makan gratis di rangkaian pesta pernikahan Wakil Bupati Garut, Putri Karlina, dengan Maula Akbar, putra Gubernur Jawa Barat Dedi Mulyadi terjawab.

Ada dugaan insiden tewas tersebut karena lemahnya pengamanan petugas di area Pendopo Bupati Garut, tempat makanan gratis disajikan untuk warga.

Seorang warga yang berada di lokasi kejadian, mengatakan peristiwa warga berdesak-desakan berebut makanan gratis terjadi pukul 17.00 WIB.

Ratusan warga berdesakan merangsek masuk bersamaan ke dalam Pendopo Bupati Garut untuk mengambil makanan gratis.

Namun, karena saling dorong dan berebut, sejumlah warga terjatuh dan terinjak. “Sore kejadiannya, sekitar pukul 5 sorean. Desak-desakan mau ambil makanan,” ujarnya saat berbincang dengan Tribunnews, Sabtu (19/7/2025).

Warga yang enggan disebutkan namanya ini mengatakan, saat peristiwa terjadi, sejumlah petugas keamanan, dari Kepolisian maupun Satpol PP justru minim di lokasi kejadian.
