EBOLAVIRUS IN DEUTSCHLAND: Das Virus ist zurück | WHO verkündet internationalen GesundheitsnotstandEin mit dem Ebolavirus infizierter US-Amerikaner wird zur Behandlung nach Deutschland verlegt. Der Mann hatte in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo gearbeitet und wurde dort am vergangenen Wochenende positiv getestet. Nach Angaben der US-Gesundheitsbehörde CDC sollen auch sechs Kontaktpersonen mit hohem Ansteckungsrisiko nach Deutschland gebracht werden. Ausschlaggebend seien die kürzeren Flugzeiten und die Erfahrung deutscher Spezialkliniken im Umgang mit Ebola-Patienten. Die WHO hat wegen des Ausbruchs in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo und in Uganda den internationalen Gesundheitsnotstand ausgerufen. Experten warnen vor einer weiteren grenzüberschreitenden Ausbreitung der seltenen Bundibugyo-Variante des Virus.
