"Saya pikir dalam dua hingga tiga minggu ke depan, Anda akan mendapatkan hasil yang cukup bagus, konklusif — akhir yang konklusif," kata Trump, dikutip dari The Times of Israel, Senin (25/8/2025).
Ia menyebut adanya upaya diplomatik serius untuk mencari jalan keluar dari perang yang telah menewaskan lebih dari 62 ribu orang.
Namun, Israel hingga kini menolak proposal gencatan senjata bertahap yang sempat disetujui Hamas.
Sebaliknya, Israel terus berencana melanjutkan operasi militer untuk menaklukkan Kota Gaza.
Trump menyebut prediksinya sebagai “akhir yang konklusif”, meski tidak menjelaskan dasar dari keyakinan tersebut.
Sejumlah pengamat mencatat Trump kerap menyampaikan prediksi dua pekan dalam berbagai isu internasional, namun jarang terbukti.
Sebelumnya, Trump juga pernah menyebut akan ada kesepakatan pembebasan sandera dalam waktu dekat, namun tidak terwujud.
Meski begitu, Trump menegaskan pemerintahannya akan terus mendorong perdamaian di Timur Tengah.
