In her passionate talk, Désirée Klain underscores the urgent need to support reporters and photojournalists in defending their work against corruption, crime, and authoritarianism. A free press remains one of the strongest safeguards against the distortion of truth and the erosion of democracy. Desiree Klain: giornalista, regista e direttrice artistica vanta oltre 30 anni di esperienza in ambito culturale e sociale. Collabora con il Corriere del Mezzogiorno e dirige festival internazionali, tra cui Imbavagliati, dedicato alla libertà di stampa, Responsabile di Articolo21 per la Campania, è promotrice di campagne per i diritti umani e ha ricevuto premi per il suo impegno civile. Nel 2024 ha lanciato il podcast Noi siamo coraggio - Storie senza censura per RaiPlay Sound. Desiree Klain: journalist, filmmaker and artistic director has over 30 years of experience in the cultural and social fields. She collaborates with the Corriere del Mezzogiorno and directs international festivals, including Imbavagliati, dedicated to freedom of the press. She is responsible for Articolo21 for Campania, she is a promoter of human rights campaigns and has received awards for her civil commitment.
