UKRAINE-KRIEG: Trump droht Putin mit Lieferung von Tomahawks! Selenskyj kommt nach Washington | LIVEUngeachtet der Warnungen des Kremls vor einer Lieferung von Marschflugkörpern des Typs Tomahawk an die Ukraine will deren Staatschef Wolodymyr Selenskyj noch diese Woche genau darüber mit US-Präsident Donald Trump verhandeln. Als «Hauptthema des Besuchs» am Freitag in Washington nannte Selenskyj auf Telegram «Flugabwehr und unsere Fähigkeiten für weitreichende Angriffe, um Druck auf Russland für Frieden auszuüben». Er werde Trump die nächsten Schritte vorschlagen.
Der Kreml hatte das Weiße Haus nachdrücklich vor einer solchen Lieferung und der Gefahr einer Gegenreaktion mit Atomwaffen gewarnt. Die US-Streitkräfte setzten in der Vergangenheit seegestützte Tomahawk-Raketen in kriegerischen Konflikten ein. Kiew verfügt bisher nicht über geeignete Kriegsschiffe oder U-Boote, allerdings haben die USA auch eine neue landgestützte Variante.
