Why do Canada’s churches keep BURNING?

Rebel News' Drea Humphrey travelled to Vernon Alliance Church after an August 31 fire significantly damaged the building, speaking with church members — including a former residential school student — about what happened and what the church means to their community.

Thankfully, no one was hurt, and police currently have no reason to suspect criminal activity in the Vernon fire.

But what about the other two?

The cause of the Surrey Alliance Church fire remains undetermined, while the fire that destroyed the 109-year-old Saint-Simon Catholic Church in New Brunswick was determined to have been intentionally set. A 68-year-old man has been charged with arson.

These fires come amid the troubling pattern of more than 130 churches that have been burned or vandalized across Canada since 2021.
