Mereka tiba-tiba tampil membuka topeng dan meminta maaf kepada Kapolri dan Institusi Polri atas lagu mereka yang berjudul "Bayar Bayar Bayar".
Lagu "Bayar Bayar Bayar " menjadi viral setelah dibawakan Band Sukatani di sebuah acara musik di Bandung, Jawa Barat pada (26/1/2025).
Setelah lagu itu viral, personel band mencoba meredakan situasi dengan meminta maaf.
Permintaan maaf itu disampaikan oleh dua personel band yaitu Muhammad Syifa Al Lufti dan Novi Citra Indriyati pada Kamis (20/2/2025).
Keduanya mendadak tampil tanpa menggunakan topeng yang menjadi ciri khas mereka.
Dalam video itu, mereka mengakui bahwa lagu "Bayar Bayar Bayar" ditujukan untuk oknum kepolisian yang melanggar peraturan.
"Sebenarnya lagu itu saya ciptakan untuk oknum kepolisian yang melanggar peraturan," ujar Lufti.
Selain meminta maaf, band Sukatani juga mengambil langkah untuk menarik lagu yang tengah viral itu dari semua platform peredaran.
Mereka meminta kepada semua pihak yang memiliki lagu tersebut untuk menghapusnya dari media sosial.
Lebih lanjut mereka menegaskan permintaan maaf disampaikan tanpa paksaan dari pihak manapun.
"Kami buat secara sadar dan sukarela dan dapat saya pertanggungjawabkan di hadapan Tuhan Yang Maha Esa," kata Lufti.
Meski demikian, video permintaan maaf itu mengundang berbagai reaksi dari warganet.
