Menurut dia, pemerintah saat ini memiliki kewenangan penuh dalam perencanaan dan pengambilan keputusan terkait IKN, termasuk soal memindahkan kantor pemerintahan.
Herman menilai, usulan Gibran berkantor di IKN merupakan hal yang wajar, selama tetap mengacu pada ketentuan dalam Undang-Undang IKN dan mempertimbangkan kesiapan fasilitas yang ada.
