25 Jahre 9/11: New York gedenkt der Opfer mit Licht und Schweigeminuten
25 Jahre nach den Terroranschlägen vom 11. September 2001 erinnert New York an die Opfer von 9/11. Am Ground Zero werden die Namen der Getöteten verlesen, Angehörige halten Fotos ihrer Verstorbenen in den Händen. Die Lichtinstallation „Tribute in Light“ lässt die Silhouette der Twin Towers am Nachthimmel erscheinen. Zudem formten 2.977 Drohnen die Türme nach. Die Zahl steht für die Menschen, die bei den Anschlägen von 2001 getötet wurden. Bei der Gedenkzeremonie in New York stehen die Opfer im Mittelpunkt.Quelle: AP, Reuters
