Alex Otaola presenta imágenes que parecen sacadas de una película surrealista: una supuesta boda en coche de caballos en medio de calles vacías, con un aire de artificialidad y tristeza que refleja el estado emocional de un país sin futuro. En este fragmento del show Hola! Ota-Ola, el conductor reacciona con amargura y claridad: “No hay nada que celebrar”, sentencia.La crítica no se queda ahí. Otaola también muestra fotografías de los carnavales en Santa Clara, celebrados inmediatamente después de 21 horas de apagón. La mezcla de luces de feria con calles en penumbra, de alegría impostada con agotamiento real, desnuda el intento del régimen por tapar la ruina con tambores. Es el típico “pan y circo”... pero sin pan.
