Dieses Projekt polarisiert die HansestadtIn Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg sorgt ein neues Wohnprojekt für Aufregung: Wer in das „autoarme Quartier“ der städtischen Wohnungsbaugesellschaft SAGA ziehen will, muss vertraglich auf ein eigenes Auto verzichten. Statt Parkplätzen gibt es Fahrradgaragen, Lastenradplätze und Carsharing-Angebote. Während Umweltschützer das Konzept begrüßen, kritisieren Juristen und der Mieterverein den Vorstoß als unverhältnismäßigen Eingriff in die Freiheitsrechte. Auch aus der Politik kommt Widerstand. SAGA verteidigt das Modell als gezielte Maßnahme für autofreie Haushalte. Die Klausel wird nun rechtlich geprüft – das Projekt trifft einen stadtplanerischen Nerv, nicht nur in Hamburg.
