Hal ini disampaikan Anggota Fraksi PDIP DPR, Said abdullah, setelah adanya aksi unjuk rasa yang meluas ke berbagai daerah.
Said Abdullah politikus senior dari PDIP yang telah menjabat sebagai anggota DPR RI selama lima periode sejak tahun 2004 hingga kini.
Said, yang kini juga menjabat Ketua Badan Anggaran DPR RI menjadi legislator dari Daerah Pemilihan Jawa Timur X.
Ia mengatakan, tunjangan terhadap anggota DPR bukan sekedar jumlah, tetapi menyangkut nilai nilai etik, empati dan simpai.
Said menegaskan, jika ukuran ukuran etik bisa dijalankan oleh anggota DPR, tentu tidak akan ada lagi berbagai tunjangan dan fasilitas yang melampaui nilai-nilai kepatutan (etik).
Selain itu, ia mengajak seluruh anggota DPR untuk lebih mendengarkan dan mengartikulasikan aspirasi rakyat dengan cara yang simpatik, agar DPR dapat tetap menjaga marwah.
Menurutnya, PDIP telah meminta anggota fraksinya untuk memiliki sense of krisis dan terus mawas diri.
Wakil Ketua MPR RI sekaligus Ketua Fraksi Partai Demokrat (FPD) DPR RI, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas), juga menegaskan sikap Partai Demokrat terkait isu tunjangan anggota DPR.
Ia menyampaikan permohonan maaf atas nama fraksi dan menekankan komitmen untuk terus mendengar suara rakyat.
