Mereka memprotes kebijakan soal pemblokiran media sosial di tengah isu korupsi dan gaya hidup hedonis para keluarga pejaabat tinggi. Protes mereka berdampak pada pemangku kebijakan yang turun dari jabatan.
Menanggapi aksi yang terjadi, pihak keamanan mengimbau untuk negosiasi demi keadaan yang lebih terkendali.
