宮城県予選から春高3回戦まで数々の激闘を繰り広げ、成長し続ける烏野高校。
春高準々決勝へと駒を進めた日向翔陽らの次なる対戦相手は、星海光来擁する鴎台高校。かつて日向が憧れた”小さな巨人”と呼ばれていた選手と同じ異名を持つ星海。
ついに、原作のストーリーの核となる試合、烏野VS鴎台、日向VS星海の“小さな巨人”対決が描かれる。
さらに、同じく春高で相まみえる梟谷学園高校VS狢坂高校の負けられない試合が、
スペシャルアニメ「ハイキュー!! バケモノたちの行くところ」として制作され、2027年に放送される。
ライバル校の中でも屈指の人気を誇る木兎光太郎が率いる梟谷学園高校と、
桐生八を擁する強豪校・狢坂高校が激突する。
