Por qué CEUTA es española aunque esté en África????

¿Por qué Ceuta es española si está literalmente en África y pegada a Marruecos? ¿Es realmente una colonia que España conserva desde su época imperial o la historia es bastante más complicada de lo que parece?

Para entenderlo hay que retroceder más de 600 años, hasta una época en la que España ni siquiera existía como el país que conocemos hoy. Ceuta fue conquistada en 1415 por Portugal, pasó más de dos siglos ligada a la Corona portuguesa y terminó tomando una decisión fundamental cuando Portugal se rebeló contra Felipe IV.

En este vídeo recorremos la conquista portuguesa de Ceuta, la Unión Ibérica, la separación entre España y Portugal, el Tratado de Lisboa de 1668, los enormes asedios que sufrió la ciudad y el nacimiento del Marruecos moderno. Y, sobre todo, veremos por qué España y Marruecos interpretan de forma completamente distinta la situación actual de Ceuta.

Porque aquí aparece también la comparación inevitable con Gibraltar: si España reclama Gibraltar a Reino Unido… ¿puede Marruecos utilizar exactamente el mismo argumento con Ceuta?
