Rudal tersebut menargetkan Bandara Internasional Ben Gurion di Tel Aviv.
Dalam sebuah pernyataan, militer Israel (IDF) menyebut sirine peringatan dibunyikan di sejumlah kota, termasuk Yerusalem.
Pihaknya memastikan bahwa rudal berhasil ditembak jatuh oleh sistem pertahanan udara.
"Setelah sirene berbunyi beberapa saat lalu di beberapa wilayah di Israel, sebuah rudal yang diluncurkan dari Yaman berhasil dicegat," bunyi keterangan IDF, dikutip dari Al Arabiya, Senin (2/6/2025).
Channel 12 Israel melaporkan operasional bandara dihentikan sementara, tanpa menyebutkan ada tidaknya kerusakan.
Ribuan penduduk juga dilaporkan mengungsi ke tempat perlindungan bom.
Klaim dari Israel bertolak belakang dengan Houthi yang mengatakan bahwa serangan rudalnya berhasil.
Juru bicara Houthi, Jenderal Yahya Saree menegaskan bahwa kelompoknya berupaya memberlakukan larangan penuh atas lalu lintas di Bandara Ben Gurion.
Maskapai penerbangan yang masih nekat terbang ke Tel Aviv diminta untuk mematuhi peringatan ini demi keselamatan penumpang.
Saree menegaskan bahwa serangan terhadap Israel tidak akan berhenti kecuali perang Gaza berakhir.
