Türkiye Ezidileri Osmanlı döneminde ve sonrasında bazı sebeplerden dolayı Avrupaya göç etmişlerdir. Bu sebeplerden bazıları şunlardır.Ezidiler tarih boyunca dini ve etnik kimliklerinden dolayı dini baskılara maruz kalmışlar. 1980ler ve 90'lürda pkk ile devlet güçleri arasinda yaşanan çatışmalar Ezidilerin yaşamını zorlaştırmıştlr.
Türkiye'nin doğu ve güney doğu bölgesinde ekonomik koşullar genellikle zordur Ezidiler bu bölgelerde yaşadıkları için avrupadaki için imkanları cazib gelmiştir. Türkiye'deki kırsal bölgelerde Eğitim ve sosyal hizmetlere erişim sınırlıdlr. Eğitim ve sosyal hizmetlere kolay erişim sağlamak onların göç isteğini arttırmıştır. 20. yüzyılın sonlarından itibaren Türkiye'deki siyası ve toplumsal değişiklikler, Ezidiler gibi azınlık grupların üzerindeki baskıyı arttırmıştır. Özellikle 1980 askeri darbeai ve sonrasında yaşanan siyası istikrarsızlık, birçok Ezidi ailesini göçe zorlamıştır. Son olarak Avrupadaki diaspora destek ağları Ezidilerin Avrupa'ya göç etmelerini kolaylaştlrmıştır. Şimdi ise Devletin desteği ile Ezidiler kendi topraklarına göç ediyorlar
