Project Heavy Metal Rocks | WorkSafeBC

Project Heavy Metal Rocks brings together school districts, trade schools, or universities with industry partners in communities across B.C.

These events give high school students the opportunity to explore careers in industries like construction, mining, or forestry. Through hands-on activities with heavy equipment and direct interaction with industry professionals, students gain insight into real work environments. They also learn about the hazards they may face and how to stay safe.

These early experiences help build awareness, confidence, and the knowledge young people need as they prepare to enter the workforce.

We’re proud to support the next generation of tradespeople in British Columbia by providing personal protective equipment and health and safety training through local prevention officers at each event.
