Rusya'nın 24 Şubat 2022’de Ukrayna’yı işgal girişimiyle başlayan savaş, dördüncü yılına girmek üzere.Savaşta yüz binlerce kişi hayatını kaybetti, Birleşmiş Milletler verilerine göre yaklaşık 7 milyon Ukraynalı ülkelerini terk etti.
Çoğu kadın ve çocuk 800 binden fazla Ukraynalı Türkiye'ye gitti.
Türkiye İçişleri Bakanlığı ve Ukrayna’nın Ankara Büyükelçiliğine göre bu sayı halen 50 binin altında.
Kalan Ukraynalıların büyük çoğunluğunu ürkiye’de ailesi ve çocukları olanlar oluşturuyor.
Türkiye’deki Ukraynalılar için devletin resmi bir yardım programı yok.
Son yıllarda sayıları azalan Ukraynalılar, Türkiye’de kurdukları dernekler üzerinden birbirlerine yardım ediyor ve destek veriyor.
BBC Türkçe, İstanbul merkezli Ukrayna Dayanışma Derneği’nin Ukraynalı çocuklar için hafta sonları verdiği Ukraynaca derslerine katıldı.
Ekibimizin bir diğer adresi de, İstanbul’da Fener Rum Patrikhanesi tarafından Ukraynalılara tahsis edilen bir kilise oldu.
Bazısı on yıllardır Türkiye’de yaşayan, bazısı 2022’den sonra Türkiye'ye gelen Ukraynalılar, bugüne kadar yaşadıklarını ve bundan sonrası için beklentilerini, korkularını, umutlarını BBC Türkçe’ye anlattı.
