Ia naik pangkat menjadi Inspektur Jenderal (Irjen) menggantikan posisi Irjen Rusdi Hartano yang dimutasi menjadi perwira tinggi Bareskrim Polri.
Adapun kenaikan pangkat Djuhandhani ini terjadi setelah Mabes Polri melakukan rotasi sejumlah perwira tinggi (pati) dan perwira menengah (pamen) di penghujung September 2025.
Mutasi itu tertuang dalam dua Surat Telegram Kapolri tertanggal 19 dan 24 September 2025.
Ada sekitar 60 personel Polri yang dimutasi dari posisi lamanya menuju jabatan baru, yang salah satunya adalah Djuhandhani.
Adapun kenaikan pangkat Djuhandhani ini terjadi tak lama setelah ia mengusut kasus ijazah Presiden ke-7 RI, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Djuhandhani yang saat itu menjabat sebagai Dirtipidum Bareskrim Polri mengusut sejumlah kasus penting termasuk ijazah Jokowi.
Dalam keterangannya, ia menyebut bahwa ijazah Jokowi adalah asli dan sah berdasarkan hasil penyelidikan dan uji forensik.
Hasil pemeriksaan itu ia umumkan pada Kamis (22/5) lalu.
Namun pernyataan itu ternyata tak disambut baik oleh para penggugat Jokowi, diantaranya Rismon Sianipar cs.
Djuhandhani pernah diklaim "takut" untuk menunjukkan ijazah Jokowi oleh Rismon Sianipar.
