TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Jet tempur F-7 BJI buatan Tiongkok milik Angkatan Udara Bangladesh dilaporkan jatuh di kawasan pendidikan Milestone College, Uttara, Dhaka utara, Senin (21/7/2025), pukul 13.30 waktu setempat.

Insiden tragis ini menewaskan sedikitnya 27 orang, termasuk Pilot jet FT-7 BGI, Mohammad Towkir Islam Sagar.

Sementara itu korban luka dilaporkan mencapai lebih dari 170 orang.

Banyaknya korban dalam insiden ini karena lokasi jatuhnya pesawat tersebut berada di kawasan padat penduduk, yakni gedung sekolah dan kampus.

Diduga penyebab kecelakaan jet tempur itu karena kerusakan mekanis.

Hubungan Masyarakat Antar-Layanan (ISPR) mengatakan bahwa pesawat mengalami kerusakan mekanis setelah lepas landas dari Pangkalan Angkatan Udara Bangladesh AK Khandaker di Kurmitola, Dhaka pukul 13.06.

Penerbangan jet tempur F-7 sebagai bagian dari latihan rutin.

Dinas pemadam kebakaran menerima informasi tentang kecelakaan pesawat sekitar pukul 13.08 waktu setempat.

ISPR mengatakan bahwas emua korban luka segera dipindahkan ke Rumah Sakit Militer Gabungan (CMH) dan RS terdekat dengan bantuan helikopter dan ambulans Angkatan Udara untuk perawatan darurat.

Pihak berwenang berlum merinci identitas lengkap korban jiwa.

Namun sebagian bersar dari mereka adalah anak-anak dan siswa Milestone School.

ISPR menyatakan pilot jet F-7 sudah berusaha menghindari kecelakaan yang menyebabkan kerusakan besar.

Letnan Penerbang Md. Tauqir Islam telah berupaya semaksimal mungkin untuk membawa pesawat dari daerah padat penduduk ke daerah yang jarang penduduknya.

Namun nahas pesawat itu jatuh secara tak terduga ke gedung lantai dua Milestone School and Collage di Diabari, Dhaka.

Angkatan Udara telah membentuk komite investigasi tingkat tinggi untuk menentukan penyebab pasti kecelakaan jet tempur latih tersebut.
