UNICEF-BERICHT WELTWEIT: Jedes fünfte Kind lebt 2025 in Krisen- und Konfliktgebieten!Das UN-Kinderhilfswerk UNICEF zieht für das Jahr 2025 eine alarmierende Bilanz. Nach Angaben der Organisation wächst weltweit fast jedes fünfte Kind in Krisen- und Konfliktgebieten auf – so viele wie nie zuvor. Der Anteil habe sich im Vergleich zur Mitte der 1990er-Jahre nahezu verdoppelt. Eine schnelle Verbesserung der Lage sei nicht in Sicht. Besonders in Regionen wie dem Sudan oder dem Gazastreifen seien Kinder weiterhin täglich massiven Gefahren durch Gewalt, Hunger und fehlende medizinische Versorgung ausgesetzt, so UNICEF.
