Dalam keterangannya di pendopo Kantor Bupati Pati, ia memastikan tak ada korban jiwa dalam aksi unjuk rasa tersebut.
Meskipun sebelumnya diketahui ada dua orang anak dan seorang wartawan yang dilaporkan meninggal.
Pernyataan itu dikeluarkan Sudewo setelah melakukan pengecekan di rumah sakit, kepolisian, dan dinas kesehatan.
Menurutnya, berita yang tengah beredar luas di media sosial itu merupakan kabar bohong.
Ia menyebut bahwa seluruh korban luka dalam aksi unjuk rasa sudah berada dalam keadaan membaik setelah menerima perawatan di rumah sakit.
Dan situasi massa aksi sore ini pun sudah mulai kondusif jika dibandingkan dengan sebelumnya.
Diketahui, bahwa kabar adanya korban tewas dalam aksi demo ini berawal dari kericuhan yang terjadi pada unjuk rasa siang hari.
Dimana saat itu para warga mengalami bentrok dengan aparat sehingga menyebabkan demo berakhir ricuh.
Aparat yang bertugas mengamankan aksi tersebut lantas menembakkan gas air mata yang menghujam langit Kabupaten Pati.
Tercatat lebih dari tiga sesi gas air mata yang ditembakkan ke arah pengunjukrasa dari dalam Kantor Bupati Pati.
