Ein Jahr nach der ersten kommerziellen Mondlandung startet Intuitive Machines eine neue Mission: Der Lander Athena wurde von SpaceX ins All gebracht und soll am 6. März 2024 auf dem Mond landen. Gemeinsam mit der NASA sucht die private Raumfahrtfirma nach Rohstoffen, Wasser und neuen Erkundungsgebieten. Ein innovativer Hopper soll schwer zugängliche Regionen erreichen, wo Rover scheitern. Die Mission ist Teil eines größeren Plans, Menschen erneut auf den Mond – und langfristig sogar auf den Mars – zu schicken. Die USA treiben ihre Weltraumpläne voran – wird dieser Flug Geschichte schreiben?
