Badan ini dibentuk untuk mengelola kekayaan negara dari investasi BUMN.
Danantara bakal mengawasi tujuh BUMN besar, termasuk Bank Mandiri, BRI, PLN, Pertamina, BNI, Telkom, dan MIND ID.
Total aset yang dikelola fantastis mencapai Rp14.670 triliun.
Wewenang Danantara diantaranya :
Mengelola dan membentuk dividen holding investasi, dividen holding operasional dan dividen BUMN.
Memberi pinjaman, menerima pinjaman dan mengagunkan aset dengan persetujuan Presiden.
Mengesahkan dan mengonsultasikan kepada DPR RI yang membidangi BUMN atas Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran (RKA) perusahaan holding investasi dan holding operasional.
Prabowo menegaskan bahwa Danantara bukan sekadar dana investasi, tapi juga alat pembangunan nasional untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat.
"Jangan salah, apa yang kita luncurkan hari ini bukan sekadar sebuah dana investasi, melainkan instrumen alat pembangunan nasional yang harus bisa mengubah cara kita mengelola kekayaan bangsa demi kesejahteraan seluruh rakyat Indonesia," ujar Prabowo saat peluncuran Danantara di Istana Negara, Jakarta, Senin (24/2/2025).
