Özdemir Erdoğan - Herkes Kendine Benzer (1976)

Özdemir Erdoğan, 17 Haziran 1940 tarihinde İstanbul’da doğdu. Liseyi 1960 yılında mezun olduğu Kadıköy Ticaret Lisesi’nde okudu. Askerliğini yedek subay öğretmen olarak Adıyaman, Besni Araplar köyünde başöğretmen olarak yaptı. 1962 – 1964 yılları arasında dünyanın tanınmış gitar hocalarından Andreas’tan klasik gitar dersleri aldı daha sonra İsmet Sıral Orkestrası ile kuzey ülkeleri, daha çok İsveç’te profesyonel müzik kariyerini geliştirdi ve dünya jazz'cılarıyla tanışma ve çalışma fırsatını buldu. 14 Ekim 1968 tarihinde ilk profesyonel orkestrasını kurdu.

Özdemir Erdoğan 1968 yılında, yılın en iyi gitaristi ödülünü aldıktan sonra 1969 yılında ilk altın plak ödülünü aldı. 1971 – 1972 yıllarında çeşitli uluslararası ödüller kazandı. 1972 Atina Olimpia ve İskenderiye festivallerine iştirak etti. 1975 yılından itibaren beste çalışmalarına başladı. 1990 yılında TRT Altın Anten yarışmasında birincilik ödülü aldı ve ardından 1991 yılında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, Hollanda, Almanya, İsviçre ve Fransa gibi farklı ülkelerde çeşitli festivallere katıldı. Özdemir Erdoğan’a, 1998’de Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Sanatçılığı ünvanı verildi.

Özdemir Erdoğan was born on June 17, 1940, in Istanbul. He attended Kadıköy Ticaret Lisesi, graduating in 1960. He completed his military service as a head teacher in the village of Araplar in Besni, Adıyaman. Between 1962 and 1964, he took classical guitar lessons from Andreas, one of the world’s renowned guitar instructors. He later developed his professional music career with the İsmet Sıral Orchestra, performing in Northern European countries, particularly Sweden, where he had the opportunity to meet and work with internationally known jazz musicians. On October 14, 1968, he founded his first professional orchestra.

After receiving the Best Guitarist of the Year award in 1968, Özdemir Erdoğan won his first gold record award in 1969. He received various international awards between 1971 and 1972 and participated in the 1972 Athens Olympia and Alexandria festivals. Starting in 1975, he began focusing on composing. In 1990, he won first prize at the TRT Golden Antenna competition, and in 1991, he took part in various festivals in countries including the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and France. In 1998, Özdemir Erdoğan was awarded the title of State Artist of the Republic of Turkey.
