Majelis Hakim 'Sunat' Vonis SYL Jadi 10 Tahun Penjara, Dinilai Berjasa saat Krisis Pangan Covid-19

SYL terbukti secara sah dan meyakinkan melakukan tindak pidana korupsi di lingkungan Kementerian Pertanian (Kementan).
Selain pidana kurungan, eks Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel) itu juga dijatuhi pidana denda sebesar Rp 300 juta subsider pidana enam bulan kurungan.
Lalu pidana tambahan sebesar Rp 14 dan 30 ribu USD subsider 4 bulan kurungan.
Vonis ini lebih ringan dua tahun dari tuntutan Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU) KPK.
Sebelumnya jaksa KPK menuntut SYL dipidana selama 12 tahun penjara.
SYL dinilai secara sah dan meyakinkan menurut hukum telah melakukan pemerasan di lingkungan Kementerian Pertanian.
Yang memberatkan:
1. Berbelit-belit
2. Tidak memberikan teladan yang baik sebagai pejabat publik.
3. Tidak mendukung program pemerintah memberantas korupsi, kolusi, nepotisme
4. Menikmati tindak pidana korupsi bersama keluarga.
Yang meringan:
1. SYL berusia lanjut 69 tahun
2. Belum Pernah dihukum
3. Memberikan kontribusi positif selaku Menteri Pertanian dalam penanganan krisis pangan saat pandemi covid-19.
4. Dapat penghargaan dari pemerintah RI atas hasil kerjanya.
