Disponible jusqu'au 14/06/2028C’est le signe d’un basculement sociétal profond. Depuis le 7 octobre 2023, Israël a délivré plus de 157 000 permis d’armes à feu, destinés à des civils. Parmi les nouveaux détenteurs, les femmes sont en première ligne.
Près de Tel-Aviv, Orin Julie, ex-militaire devenue influenceuse vedette, incarne une esthétique guerrière ultra-connectée. À Zikhron Yaakov, Odelia, avocate américano-israélienne, milite pour élargir le droit au port d'armes à un maximum de femmes. Elle porte ce combat jusqu'à la Knesset, où elle obtient gain de cause. Dans une colonie d’Hébron, Eden Goldman, institutrice enceinte, s’entraîne au tir depuis huit ans. En Cisjordanie occupée, obtenir une arme est encore plus facile qu'en Israël - il suffit de justifier d'un habitat "dangereux".
Présentée comme un sursaut de protection, voire comme une émancipation des femmes par les armes, cette vague sécuritaire bouleverse les rapports sociaux en Israël. Elle met en lumière la fragilité d'une société encore traumatisée, notamment, par les crimes sexuels du 7 octobre - dirigés contre des femmes civiles.
Mais cette fuite en avant ne fait pas l’unanimité. Des voix dissidentes, pacifistes, s’élèvent : elles manifestent encore, malgré une répression violente. Car, à mesure que l’armement civil progresse, Israël se militarise, se divise, s'aveugle.
