Il testo, frutto di una mediazione parlamentare, punta a riconoscere e contrastare in modo più efficace la violenza di genere. Ma non mancano critiche: tra i più scettici Daniele #Capezzone, secondo cui la norma rischia di creare una “giustizia diseguale”.
Con 161 voti favorevoli, il #Senato ha dato il via libera al disegno di legge che istituisce l’articolo 577-bis del codice penale, configurando il #femminicidio come reato autonomo e punito con l’ergastolo. La norma si applica quando l’omicidio di una donna è commesso “con atti di discriminazione o di odio verso la vittima in quanto donna”, oppure per reprimere la sua libertà o personalità. Un passo definito “storico” dalla ministra Eugenia #Roccella, secondo cui “tipizzare il reato non vuol dire creare classifiche di dolore, ma riconoscere una specificità, per prevenirla”.
