Pasalnya, banyak warga negara asing yang tinggal di Los Angeles dan dikhawatirkan terdampak.
Dikutip dari Global Times pada Selasa (10/6/2025), Konsulat China di Los Angeles mengimbau warganya di wilayah tersebut untuk meningkatkan kewaspadaan dan memperkuat keamanan pribadi.
Mereka diminta untuk menjauhi kerumunan, tempat ramai, serta diminta untuk tidak bepergian seorang diri terutama saat malam hari.
Konsulat menyerukan agar warga China di Los Angeles memantau pengumuman resmi dengan seksama.
Peringatan serupa juga dikeluarkan oleh Konsulat Jenderal Republik Indonesia (KJRI) di Los Angeles.
Kerusuhan di Los Angeles bermula dari penangkapan massal terhadap migran tak berdokumen di daerah tersebut.
Dalam beberapa hari terakhir, ada 118 imigran yang ditangkap dan ditahan.
Menurut Kementerian Luar Negeri Indonesia, ada dua WNI yang ditangkap karena berstatus ilegal saat memasuki AS.
Namun, penangkapan massal terhadap imigran justru mendapat protes luas dari masyarakat.
Ribuan orang telah melakukan demo sejak pekan lalu dan menuntut pembebasan segera.
Demo yang tak kunjung mereda membuat Presiden AS Donald Trump mengambil keputusan yang tidak lazim dengan mengerahkan 2.000 pasukan Garda Nasional ke Los Angeles.
Hanya saja, langkah tersebut justru membuat kerusuhan semakin parah.
Massa yang marah bahkan membakar mobil sambil terus mencaci Donald Trump.
Sementara petugas berupaya meredam kerusuhan dengan menembakkan gas air mata hingga peluru karet.
