KOMPAS.TV - Topan Super Ragasa menghantam Hongkong dan pantai selatan Tiongkok, Rabu dini hari, waktu setempat.

Inilah visual terjangan gelombang badai dari Topan Super Ragasa ini sampai menghantam lobi sebuah hotel. Sejumlah orang panik sampai terseret.

Otoritas Tiongkok menutup sekolah dan kawasan bisnis, dan hampir 2 juta orang di Tiongkok dievakuasi. Sementara di Taiwan, 17 orang tewas akibat terjangan badai Topan Super Ragasa.

Di Tiongkok, Topan Ragasa menerjang wilayah Macao dan Chuhei, membuat banjir parah dan memaksa pemerintah mengevakuasi besar-besaran warganya.

Ketinggian air banjir di Macao mencapai 1 setengah meter, melumpuhkan perekonomian dan mobilitas.

Di sejumlah wilayah, suplai listrik harus distop untuk mencegah bahaya yang lebih lanjut, hingga banjir surut.

Sementara di Chuhei, amukan topan lebih hebat lagi. Kecepatan angin mencapai 110 kilometer per jam. Jarak pandang di pelabuhan nyaris nol. Kapal-kapal juga dievakuasi ke wilayah lain.

Di Taiwan, korban jiwa akibat terjangan Topan Ragasa mencapai 17 orang. Para korban merupakan warga Kabupaten Hualien.

Selain itu, 18 orang lainnya terluka dan dirawat di lokasi pengungsian, di sebuah sekolah dasar. Total ada lebih dari 8 ribu warga yang telah dievakuasi.

Operasi pencarian terus digalakkan guna menemukan 17 orang yang masih hilang.
