Oltre 2.000 metri quadrati di erba naturale e olivi secolari hanno trasformato piazza Santa Croce in un giardino di fine estate. Da venerdì 25 a domenica 27 settembre la piazza torna a vestirsi di verde con Green Florence, la manifestazione promossa da Confcommercio e dall'Unione degli Agricoltori di Firenze – Confagricoltura, con il patrocinio del Comune e il sostegno della Camera di Commercio. Per tre giorni ci saranno iniziative che uniranno stand gastronomici, incontri pubblici, musica e altre attività. «Questa piazza è un messaggio – ha detto il governatore Eugenio Giani – Non a caso stiamo predisponendo un piano da 5 milioni di euro per poter finanziare progetti nelle piazze delle città toscane per la rigenerazione verde. Ragionando e dialogando si può trovare il profilo dell’armonia architettonica nella realizzazione di piazze storiche con il verde». «Il colpo d’occhio è bellissimo – ha detto l’assessore al commercio Jacopo Vicini – Magari parliamo con la sindaca e la soprintendente perché un po’ di verde in più nelle nostre piazze è sicuramente è una bella idea».
