Kehadiran Kepala Negara menandai awal kunjungan kerja untuk menghadiri Sidang Majelis Umum ke-80 Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB).
Dari bandara, Prabowo langsung menuju hotel yang menjadi tempatnya bermalam selama berada di New York.
Dalam perjalanan udara menuju Amerika Serikat, tampak Prabowo didampingi Menteri Luar Negeri Sugiono dan Sekretaris Kabinet Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Adapun agenda utama kunjungan ini adalah penyampaian pidato pada sesi Debat Umum PBB yang dijadwalkan berlangsung Selasa (23/9).
Diketahui Indonesia mendapat kesempatan berbicara pada urutan ketiga setelah Presiden Brasil dan Presiden Amerika Serikat.
Sementara itu, Prabowo akan menegaskan komitmen Indonesia dalam mendukung reformasi tata kelola dunia.
