Dampak Gempa 8,8 M Rusia: Peringatan Tsunami di Indonesia, Warga Halmahera hingga Talaud Mengungsi
KOMPAS.TV - Dampak gempa magnitudo 8,8 di Semenanjung Kamchatka, Rusia, Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) Kepulauan Talaud membunyikan alarm peringatan dini tsunami di Pelabuhan Beo, Talaud. Warga diimbau untuk menjauhi area pesisir pantai.Alarm peringatan dini waspada tsunami dibunyikan BMKG dan pemerintah daerah di Pelabuhan Beo, Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud, Sulawesi Utara.
Selain membunyikan alarm, pemerintah daerah juga terus melakukan sosialisasi terkait potensi tsunami. Petugas mengimbau warga agar menjauhi area pesisir pantai untuk sementara waktu.
Ratusan warga di sejumlah desa di Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, Maluku Utara, mengungsi ke daerah ketinggian setelah mendapat informasi terkait potensi tsunami dampak dari gempa Rusia.
Membawa anggota keluarga, barang seadanya, dan dokumen penting, mereka mengevakuasi diri ke sejumlah tempat tinggi, di antaranya Vila Tugu Pancasila di Desa Gamsungi, Tobelo.
