Warga sekitar sempat mendengar suara gaduh menjelang waktu maghrib.
Ketika sebagian warga ke luar rumah untuk melihat kejadian, korban sudah tergeletak tak bernyawa.
Dalam foto yang beredar, korban hanya memakai celana pendek dan kaus tanpa lengan.
Tak lama setelah jasad korban ditemukan, polisi berhasil menangkap terduga pelaku pembunuh Sumiati.
Kasatreskrim Polres Tegal Kota, AKP Eko Setiabudi Pardani mengatakan, pelaku sudah diamankan.
Namun terkait alasan pelaku membunuh korban, masih didalami oleh pihak kepolisian.
"Untuk pelaku sudah kami amankan dan sementara korban masih berada di rumah sakit," kata AKP Eko di Polres Tegal Kota, Rabu malam.
Sementara itu korban dinyatakan meninggal dunia di tempat kejadian.
