Moscú afirmó haber lanzado un ataque masivo contra instalaciones militares e industriales ucranianas. Según Ucrania, se trata de uno de los mayores ataques contra Kiev en los últimos meses. Al menos 23 personas fallecieron. La Unión Europea y el Consejo Británico denunciaron que sus sedes en el país resultaron dañadas. El incidente se produce menos de dos semanas después de la reunión entre el presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, y su homólogo ruso, Vladímir Putin, en Alaska. El presidente ucraniano, Volodímir Zelenski, criticó duramente a Rusia por preferir las armas a las negociaciones y urgió a la comunidad internacional a imponer nuevas sanciones a Moscú.
