Insiden terjadi pada 29 Desember 2024 malam waktu setempat di Kota Oarai, Prefektur Ibaraki.
Wungan diduga menikam wajah dan kepala seorang pria berusia 40-an, yang dikenal sebagai kenalannya.
Diketahui korban mengalami luka yang diperkirakan memerlukan waktu sekitar dua minggu untuk proses pemulihan.
Tersangka merupakan pekerja di sebuah perusahaan pembongkaran dan tinggal di daerah Sugisaki, Kota Mito.
Sementara lokasi kejadian adalah rumah milik kenalan lain dari tersangka.
Dalam pemeriksaan, Wungan mengaku tidak berniat membunuh.
Wungan justru membantah tuduhan tersebut.
Pihak kepolisian menyampaikan jika terbukti bersalah, Wungan dapat dikenai hukuman penjara hingga dua tahun.
Polisi Jepang masih lakukan penyelidikan lanjutan terhadap insiden ini guna mengungkap motif dan kronologi yang lebih jelas.
