After six weeks of fighting, the Serbian guerrillas, supported by the Belgrade government, control more than a third of Croatia. Now, the federal army and the Serbian rebels, openly forming a single force, are preparing to conquer the Croatian region of Eastern Slavonia, which borders Serbia.
