In recent years, the destruction of Brazilian biomes by forest fires has become one of the most urgent crises of our generation. But what if the residue from this tragedy could be transformed into a powerful tool for exposing highly complex environmental problems? When everything turns to ashes: resist with art! An artivist and graffiti artist, Mundano has built his legacy through urban interventions that blend activism, denunciation, creativity, and social impact. Mundano is a Brazilian artivist, defender of environmental and human rights causes, and founder of the NGO Pimp My Carroça and the Cataki app. In recent years, he has been collecting residues from some of the greatest environmental crimes in the country's history, creating his own paint from toxic mud, ashes from forest fires, and oil spilled on the beaches of the Northeast. Through his artivism, he works in the fight against the climate emergency. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
