Milano-Cortina, Mattarella accende il braciere Olimpico alla cerimonia al Quirinale
(Agenzia Vista) Si è svolta la cerimonia di inaugurazione del Viaggio della Fiamma Olimpica. La Lanterna contenente la Fiamma Olimpica - custodita per tutta la notte al Quirinale - è arrivata sulla Piazza del Quirinale, portata da un Guardiaportone in tenuta di gran gala e scortata da due Corazzieri. Dopo l’esecuzione dell’Inno nazionale da parte della Banda Interforze, la Presidente del Comitato Olimpico Internazionale, Kirsty Coventry, e il Presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella, hanno svolto i loro discorsi celebrativi. Al termine degli interventi, il Presidente del Comitato Organizzatore di Milano Cortina 2026, Giovanni Malagò, ha consegnato al Presidente Mattarella la torcia con la quale è stato acceso il braciere della Fiamma Olimpica. Il sorvolo delle Frecce Tricolori ha concluso la cerimonia dando ufficialmente il via al viaggio della Fiamma che inizierà, dal 6 dicembre, il suo percorso attraverso luoghi simbolo di Roma, per poi snodarsi lungo 12.000 chilometri in 63 giorni e attraversare 110 province.Quirinale
