Beberapa jam sebelumnya, ia tega menghabisi nyawa seorang bocah yang masih keponakannya, HY (3) dengan cara menebas leher korban dengan sebilah parang, Rabu (13/8/2025) sekitar pukul 22.30 WIB.
Pelaku sempat kabur ke dalam hutan setelah membunuh korban dan kembali ke lokasi kejadian untuk bersembunyi di belakang kamar mandi. Ia ditangkap personel gabungan Unit Reskrim Polsek Geger dan Satreskrim Polres Bangkalan dibantu personel Koramil Geger bersama warga.
Saat ditanya Kasat Reskrim Polres Bangkalan, AKP Hafid Dian Maulidi dengan kalimat apa yang kamu lakukan?, pelaku HL mendadak pekok dengan menjawab, “yang mana?”. Mendengar itu, Hafid mengejar sambil berucap, “tadi malam”.
“Dirasuki setan dan jin, mungkin (korban) kena tebas. Tidak berniat bunuh dia, terpaksa. Saya minta maaf sama keluarga,” singkat pelaku HL di depan pintu ruang tahanan Polres Bangkalan.
