Much like Solo Contest Vesper's Host, the final boss remains the only impossible encounter for full solo contest clear. While there's always potential that some broken setup would've made it doable, it was likely to not be possible considering it's already been weeks and the current damage options are a ways off from being viable for contest requirements.
Difficulty-wise, this is much easier than Vesper's on solo contest. First encounter on Vesper's without duping was quite challenging, whereas first encounter on this is mostly knowing the line-ups and taking care not to be one hit by Subjugators. Once you know the best line-ups it's relatively easy. Similarly, Zoetic Lockset is probably easier than Raneiks, although both of those used damage setups that kind of trivialised the DPS checks in ways that were likely unintended when designing the fight (stasis chunking vs bolt charge spam on multiple shriekers). Raneiks felt a bit more dangerous overall, whereas Lockset is just spending most of the encounter behind a barricade and popping out for the odd mechanic or ammo run.
Anyway, even though the final boss wasn't possible, at least the majority of it was on contest. I think there's no way to balance these properly that a solo could full clear contest while keeping it challenging for group contest clears, so I guess 2/3 is the middle-ground. Realistically though, the damage checks on each dungeon's second encounter were met because they were multi-target fights with weird broken loadouts. So perhaps if there was a normal single target boss in place of those, the DPS requirements wouldn't be possible solo for those.
