What If Y
What If You Could Travel at the Speed of Light?
इसके बाद कहानी Einstein की Special Relativity तक पहुंचती है, जहां Time Dilation, Length Contraction और Proper Time जैसे concepts सामने आते हैं। लेकिन lightlike path पर proper-time interval zero होता है।
Light is the fastest known thing in the universe, moving through vacuum at about 300,000 kilometers per second. But what does this incredible speed really mean? In this documentary, we take an imaginary journey as a beam of light, starting from Earth and traveling to the Moon, across the Solar System, toward Proxima Centauri, through the Milky Way, and finally toward the enormous scale of the Observable Universe.
Along the way, we explore why sunlight takes about 8 minutes to reach Earth, why Proxima Centauri is more than four light-years away, and why crossing the Milky Way at light speed would still take around 100,000 years.
Then the journey takes us into Einstein’s Special Relativity. We examine time dilation, length contraction, and the strange concept of proper time. A photon does not have a rest frame, so it is not correct to imagine what a photon “experiences” like a human observer. Yet along a lightlike path, the proper-time interval is zero.
We also explore why massive objects can never reach the speed of light and how the expansion of the universe allows the Observable Universe to have a present-day distance of roughly 46 billion light-years.
In the end, light reveals something extraordinary: looking farther into space also means looking further back in time. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
